Valor Ride Program

Valor Ride is a multifaceted national program that transcends all six phases of the For Their Honor process. Valor Ride is located at the For Their Honor Headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida with plans for up to 5 other locations in both the United States and select locations overseas serving Active Duty Personnel, Veterans and their families.  Valor Ride provides a comprehensive, transitional, educational and employment assistance to Veterans and Active Duty service members preparing to exit military service.  Most immediately, Valor Ride Program directly impacts Phase 1 (Engage), Phase II (Assess), and Phase III (Integration) of our process.

The mission is to develop and grow the program, through the medium of motorcycling, for the purpose of raising awareness, supporting and encouraging Veterans, and supporting the many fundraising efforts for all For Their Honor programs. The program is structured to provide physical and emotional support as well as a sense of belonging reminiscent to what the Veteran experienced while on active duty. Motorcycle Safety Instruction, team building, organized group rides and motivational speakers will only be part of the program and therapy provided to our Veterans.

In a study conducted by Dr. Ryuta Kawashima, author of the Nintendo game Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training, at the University of Tokyo, Motorcycling was found to have positive effects on the cognitive abilities of the riders. Cognitive functions including processing thoughts, memory and speech were positively impacted.  Valor Ride provides mental, emotional, and physical therapy to the Veterans and their families through this national motorcycle riding and fellowship program. It also provides lifelong support while creating lasting friendships and camaraderie along with unique business and employment opportunities.

Valor Ride brings to the Veteran community a product and service that is unique in how it’s placement for the Veteran into the program is completely personalized. The program will also focus on Mentorship and outreach programs in the community.

An Enduring Vanguard for Veterans
